February/March Issue

--Who Are the Met Golfers? An analysis of the readership using data from the December 2009 survey. Focus on the golf habits (rounds played, average Handicap Index, golf trips taken) and follow this up with a series of articles in future issues on individual golfers who are representative of the magazine’s avid readership.
--Winter Tune-Up. Michael Breed, star of Golf Channel’s “The Golf Fix,” leads a Met Golfer service package that will help golfers get their games and bodies ready for the 2010 golf season.
--A Look Back: Jess Sweetser. The winner of the 1922 and 1925 Met Amateurs was one of the most accomplished amateur golfers in his day.

April/May Issue

--Triple-A Tour. A look at how the Nationwide Tour, founded 20 years ago as the Ben Hogan Tour, has become the pre-eminent training ground for PGA Tour winners. Local players such as J.J. Henry, Johnson Wagner, Marc Turnesa, Chris Nallen, Jim McGovern, and Andrew Svoboda weigh in on the merits of the tour.

--Golf Grows in the Bronx. After more than 10 years of planning, a golf course is finally being built at Ferry Point Park in the Bronx, currently the only new course being constructed in the tri-state area. Jack Nicklaus and John Sanford are co-architects.
--Ghosts of Tournaments Past. A look back at defunct PGA, LPGA, and Senior Tour events in the tri-state area. What happened to these long-running tournaments, and what does the future hold for big-time tournament golf in the area?
